Directed by Frank Tashlin
Produced in December 11, 1943.
Puss n'Booty was traditionally animated by hand and it was the last animated short in black and white that Warner Brothers produced, it was later "remade" in color and feturing Sylvester and Tweety instead.

The short is about a cat named Rudolph who has constantly been eating his owner's canaries.
The owner is concerned about the canaries and wonders what has been happening to them.
We, as the audience, know that Rudolph has been eating them, but he stages everything to make it look as if they have been flying away. Rudolph's owner calls the pet shop for one more canary thinking her cat is sad about losing his "friend", however he is more eager to have another feathery snack. Soon enough another bird is delivered to the lady's house, but this time, Petey (the bird) is a far more clever bird than the others, outsmarting Rudolph in every way until by the very end of the short it is implied that Petey ate Rudolph in a very wicked twist of events.
I assume it was aired as part of a kid's show or rather as a series of shorts shown to kids on TV.
It is also one of the few cartoons to air on Cartoon Netwrok that still aired with a redrawn print regularly.
This cartoon entered the public domain in 1971 due to Warner Bros. failing to renew the copyright in time. It is the most recent Looney Tunes or Merrie Melodie in the public domain; all others after this are under copyright.
It is ranked #71 in the Looney Tunes ranking position.
